Custom Bismuth Shot Production Service

Labor-Only Shot Manufacturing | Customer-Supplied Material | 50 lb Minimum

Rock Shot Products offers custom bismuth shot production using customer-supplied bismuth metal.

Customers who already own bismuth or source their own material can have it processed into bismuth shot without purchasing the raw bismuth from Rock Shot Products. You supply the metal; Rock Shot Products provides the shot-production service.

Production pricing starts at $2.85 per pound of customer-supplied material processed, with a 50-pound minimum production run.

This listing is for manufacturing services only. Bismuth metal is not included in the listed production price.

Production Pricing

50–199 lb: $2.85 per pound
200+ lb: Contact us for volume pricing

Minimum Production Order: 50 lb

The $2.85/lb price is the production charge only. Bismuth and any required alloying material are supplied by the customer unless other arrangements are made with Rock Shot Products.

Shipping, packaging, insurance, testing, additional materials, and other project-specific charges are separate when applicable.

How Quantity Works

For online orders, Quantity represents pounds of customer-supplied material to be processed.

Quantity 50 = 50 lb production run = $142.50
Quantity 100 = 100 lb production run = $285.00
Quantity 199 = 199 lb production run = $567.15

The minimum online quantity is 50.

For production runs of 200 pounds or more, please contact Rock Shot Products for volume pricing before placing your order.

Why Choose Customer-Supplied Bismuth Shot Production?

Raw bismuth represents a significant portion of the cost of finished bismuth shot. Customers who already own or source bismuth can have their material processed without purchasing the raw metal a second time.

Benefits include:

  • Customer supplies the primary raw material
  • Professional bismuth shot production
  • Multiple shot sizes available subject to production capability
  • Custom alloy requirements can be discussed before production
  • Suitable for individual and commercial projects
  • Bulk production capability
  • Optional XRF alloy analysis
  • Volume pricing available for larger production runs

How the Process Works

Step 1 – Contact Rock Shot Products

Please contact us before shipping material or placing a production order.

We will discuss the amount of material, desired shot size, alloy composition, production requirements, and any special considerations associated with your project.

Step 2 – Supply Your Material

After the project details have been confirmed, ship or deliver your bismuth and any required alloying material according to the instructions provided by Rock Shot Products.

Do not ship material until your project has been reviewed and accepted for production.

Step 3 – Confirm Alloy and Shot Size

Tell us the desired alloy composition and shot size or size range.

Available sizes, achievable tolerances, and production requirements can vary depending on the material, alloy, quantity, and requested specifications. These details should be confirmed before production begins.

Step 4 – Shot Production

Rock Shot Products processes the accepted customer-supplied material into bismuth shot according to the production specifications agreed upon for the project.

Step 5 – Packaging and Return

Finished material is packaged for return to the customer. Shipping, packaging, insurance, and other applicable project-specific charges are handled separately from the basic production charge unless otherwise agreed.

Customer-Supplied Material

This listing is for manufacturing services only.

The customer is responsible for supplying sufficient bismuth and any required alloying metals unless Rock Shot Products agrees to provide additional material separately.

Customers should accurately identify and disclose the known composition and condition of material submitted for processing.

Incoming material weight does not represent a guaranteed finished shot weight. Normal processing may result in small amounts of material remaining in production equipment or being associated with handling, sampling, oxidation, or other normal process-related variation.

If a specific finished weight or yield requirement is important, please discuss it with Rock Shot Products before production.

Alloy Options

Bismuth shot can be produced from customer-supplied material according to an agreed alloy specification and confirmed production capability.

Customers may supply pure bismuth with the appropriate alloying material or provide material that has already been alloyed.

If you are unsure how much tin or other compatible alloying material is required to reach a particular composition, contact Rock Shot Products before shipping your material.

We can help calculate alloy additions based on the starting material, desired composition, and production quantity.

Shot Sizes

Rock Shot Products can produce a variety of bismuth shot sizes depending on project requirements and production capabilities.

Contact us with the shot size or size range you need so availability can be confirmed before production.

For commercial customers requiring a particular size specification or tolerance, those requirements should be discussed and agreed upon before placing a production order.

Optional XRF Alloy Analysis

Optional XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) alloy analysis may be available for customers who want additional composition information about their material.

XRF analysis may be useful for:

  • Evaluating incoming customer-supplied material
  • Checking approximate alloy composition
  • Comparing material during alloy preparation
  • Commercial or specialty projects requiring additional composition information

Contact Rock Shot Products for current XRF availability and pricing.
