Rock Shot Products Hard Lead Mini Ingots provide a convenient bulk source of antimonial lead alloy for bullet casting, alloy blending, fishing weights, and general metal casting applications.
This alloy contains approximately 2–4% antimony with the balance lead. The added antimony increases hardness compared with pure lead, producing a practical casting alloy with an approximate hardness range of 10–13 Brinell (BHN), depending on composition.
Each order contains 50 pounds of Hard Lead Mini Ingots in a mix of approximately 1 lb and 1/2 lb pieces. The smaller ingot format makes the alloy easier to handle, weigh, portion, store, and add gradually to a casting pot or furnace.
The 50 lb package is particularly well suited for regular and higher-volume users who want the economy of purchasing lead in bulk without having to cut or break apart large ingots.

Why Antimonial Lead?
Adding antimony to lead increases its hardness and resistance to deformation compared with pure lead.
With approximately 2–4% antimony, this alloy provides a useful middle ground for casters who need harder lead without moving to much higher-antimony alloys such as Linotype or Foundry-type metal.
It can be used directly when its composition is appropriate for the application or blended with other lead alloys to adjust the composition and hardness of a custom mixture.
