Premium Bismuth Shot – (Size 5) 10 lb Bag – Made in USA – Waterfowl Safe Reloading Shot
Rock Shot Products
Our Premium Size #1 Bismuth Shot is manufactured specifically for shotgun reloading, providing a high-density, non-toxic alternative for waterfowl hunting, upland hunting, and other applications where lead shot is restricted.
Size #1 is a larger bismuth pellet, measuring approximately .16 inch (4.0 mm) in diameter, with approximately 81 pellets per ounce. Its larger pellet size provides increased individual pellet mass while retaining the advantages of bismuth over lower-density alternatives such as steel.
This 10 lb package is ideal for higher-volume reloaders who want a larger supply of Size #1 shot without purchasing multiple smaller bags.
Bismuth combines higher density than steel with a softer material, making it an attractive option for reloaders seeking performance closer to traditional lead shot.
Its density helps provide strong downrange energy and effective pattern performance while remaining a non-toxic option for hunting applications where lead is prohibited.
Because bismuth is softer than steel, it is also commonly selected by reloaders using classic and vintage shotguns where steel shot may not be appropriate. Always follow the firearm manufacturer's recommendations and published load data for your particular shotgun and load.
Behind Rock Shot Products is nearly a decade of experience manufacturing high-quality bismuth shot for the reloading industry.
Our production experience includes manufacturing bismuth shot supplied to established companies within the shooting and reloading market. That experience now supports Rock Shot Products' own production line, allowing us to provide premium bismuth shot directly to reloaders.
Our manufacturing process incorporates refined production techniques and proprietary improvements developed through years of experience, with an emphasis on consistent pellet sizing, quality, and dependable performance.
Rock Shot Products – The Leading Producer of Premium Bismuth Shot
Bismuth behaves differently during production than traditional lead or steel shot. Because of the natural characteristics of bismuth alloys, pellets may not always be perfectly spherical.
Some pellets may exhibit minor surface characteristics such as small tails or satellites. These characteristics are normal for manufactured bismuth shot and do not necessarily indicate a manufacturing defect.
Our shot is produced in large batches and carefully screened and sorted to maintain accurate sizing. However, minor size variations can occur during production.
For example, a batch labeled Size #4 may contain a small percentage of pellets closer in diameter to neighboring Size #3 or Size #5 shot. Overall pellet distribution is screened to remain consistent with the shot size ordered.
