Our 15 lb Hard Lead Mini Ingots are produced from a precision alloy consisting of approximately 2-4% antimony Balance Lead, creating a durable casting metal designed for bullet casting, alloy blending, and metal casting applications.

This alloy is significantly harder and more durable than pure lead, providing improved bullet performance, better mold fill-out, and increased resistance to deformation during handling and firing. The addition of antimony strengthens the lead matrix and increases hardness, making it a preferred alloy for many bullet casters and metal casting projects.

Each order includes a convenient mix of 1 lb and 1/2 lb mini ingots, allowing casters to easily measure and add metal to their melt pot. The smaller ingot size melts quickly and evenly, giving casters better control when adjusting alloy composition or topping off casting pots.

With hardness typically in the 10–13 Brinell (BHN) range, this alloy provides a balance between strength and castability, making it ideal for a wide range of casting applications including bullets, ingots, sinkers, and other molded lead products.

Whether you’re casting bullets, producing fishing weights, or blending custom alloys, these hard lead mini ingots provide consistent, reliable casting metal for serious casters.

Why Hard Lead Alloys?

Adding antimony to lead increases hardness, strength, and durability, making the alloy more suitable for many casting applications where pure lead would be too soft.

Hard lead alloys are commonly used by casters who need:

• Stronger bullets
• More durable castings
• Improved mold fill
• Better wear resistance
