Foundry Pieces Bullet Casting Alloy – 18 LB Box | High Antimony Lead Alloy | Made in USA
Rock Shot Products
Our 9 lb Foundry Pieces Alloy provide a hard, high-antimony casting metal trusted by bullet casters and metalworkers who need strong alloys with excellent casting performance. Foundry type metal has been used for decades in industrial printing and casting applications because of its hardness, durability, and ability to produce crisp, detailed castings.
This alloy typically consists of approximately 63% lead, 24% antimony, and 12% tin, (+/- 1% Copper), creating a versatile casting metal with a hardness range of roughly 18–30 Brinell (BHN) depending on blend variations. The elevated antimony content significantly increases strength and hardness, while the tin improves mold fill-out and casting fluidity.
Each order contains 9 pounds of foundry alloy pieces, sized for convenient handling and fast melting. The smaller pieces make it easy for casters to measure, blend, and fine-tune alloy formulas when adjusting hardness levels or creating custom bullet casting blends.
Foundry alloy pieces are widely used for hard bullet casting, alloy blending, and precision casting projects where hardness and sharp mold detail are important.
Total Weight: 9 pounds
Alloy Composition: ~63% Lead / ~24% Antimony / ~12% Tin / +/- 1% Copper
Approximate Hardness: ~18–30 Brinell (BHN)
Pieces are sized for easy handling and quick melting in casting pots and furnaces.
• Hard bullet casting
• Alloy blending
• Precision metal casting
• Increasing hardness of softer lead alloys
• Casting molds requiring sharp detail
Foundry type alloys are popular among experienced casters because they offer:
• High antimony content for increased hardness
• Excellent mold fill-out
• Crisp casting detail
• Stronger finished bullets and cast parts
Many casters use foundry alloy to harden pure lead or softer alloys, creating custom blends tailored to specific firearms, molds, or casting applications.
Rock Shot Products supplies high-quality casting metals trusted by bullet casters, reloaders, and metalworkers across the country. Our casting alloys are designed for consistent melting performance, predictable hardness, and reliable casting results.
