Foundry Bullet Alloy – 2 lb Ingots

64.5% Lead | 23% Antimony | 12.5% Tin | High-Hardness Casting & Blending Alloy

Rock Shot Products Foundry Bullet Alloy is a high-antimony, high-tin lead alloy designed for casters who need a hard alloy or a powerful hardening component for custom alloy blends.

With a nominal composition of 64.5% lead, 23% antimony, and 12.5% tin, Foundry Alloy contains substantially more antimony and tin than typical bullet-casting alloys. This makes it especially useful for increasing hardness and adjusting the composition of softer lead alloys.

Our Foundry Bullet Alloy is supplied in convenient approximately 2 lb ingots, making it easier to weigh, portion, melt, and incorporate into custom alloy recipes.

Sold as individual approximately 2 lb ingots with a minimum purchase of 5 ingots (approximately 10 lb total).

Alloy Composition

Lead (Pb): 64.5%
Antimony (Sb): 23%
Tin (Sn): 12.5%

Estimated Hardness: Approximately 30 BHN*

Ingot Details

Approximate Weight Per Ingot: 2 lb ± 0.25 lb
Minimum Purchase: 5 ingots (approximately 10 lb total)
Approximate Size Per Ingot: 2.5" × 2.5" × 1"
Form: Cast Ingot
Primary Use: Bullet casting, alloy blending, and hardening

Individual ingot weights and dimensions may vary slightly due to the casting process.

Ideal for Custom Alloy Blending

The high antimony and tin content makes Foundry Bullet Alloy particularly useful for casters who want to modify softer lead alloys.

Common uses include:

• Increasing the hardness of pure or soft lead
• Creating custom bullet-casting alloys
• Adjusting lead-antimony-tin alloy compositions
• Alloy experimentation and development
• Adding antimony and tin to softer lead-based alloys
• General metal casting and alloy blending

Convenient 2 lb Ingot Size

Although the minimum purchase is 5 ingots, each individual ingot weighs approximately 2 lb. The smaller ingot format makes the alloy easier to weigh, portion, melt, and use across multiple alloy recipes.

Instead of working with one large block of alloy, casters can use individual ingots as needed and more easily control the amount added to a particular melt.

Minimum Purchase

This product has a minimum purchase of 5 ingots, representing approximately 10 lb of Foundry Bullet Alloy.

The smaller individual ingot size provides convenient handling and portioning while the 5-ingot minimum allows Rock Shot Products to offer this specialty alloy at competitive direct pricing.

Important Alloy Information

Actual hardness and finished casting properties can vary based on alloy composition, cooling rate, casting conditions, heat treatment, and other processing variables.

The approximately 30 BHN figure is an estimate based on alloy composition and should not be interpreted as a certified hardness measurement for every ingot or finished casting.

High-antimony. High-tin. Convenient 2 lb ingots. Built for serious alloy blending.
